Deer Processing
Do I need an appointment to drop off my deer? +
No appointment is necessary to drop off your deer. Processing availability depends on current volume — if we reach capacity, we’ll post updates on our website, social media, and voicemail.
Where do I drop off my deer? +
When you arrive, back up to the roll-up door, where your deer will be individually tagged. Have your deer license number ready and we’ll gladly assist — please don’t drag your deer across the parking lot. During busy times there may be a wait; our priority is giving each customer individual attention, so we appreciate your patience. You’ll be handed a claim ticket at drop-off — keep it or take a photo, since you’ll need the number to pick up.
What should I do before bringing in my deer? +
Your deer must be field-dressed and free of dirt, grass, leaves, and debris inside the body cavity. Rinse away any contamination, remove the organs and bladder, and please remove the anus. Deer that aren’t cleaned properly are subject to additional fees. Please don’t cut the rear hocks / Achilles tendons — we need them intact to safely hang your deer.
How is deer processing priced — do you charge by weight or offer bundles? +
We keep it simple: one flat fee for processing. There are no confusing bundle packs, we don’t weigh your deer, and we don’t charge extra for a larger deer.
Are there any additional fees? +
A few situations add a fee: if the anus wasn’t removed or we have to clean your deer, a $15 fee applies; dirty, gut-shot, or debris-filled deer are priced at drop-off; a whole skinned deer is $30; and meat picked up more than 3 days after we call is subject to additional fees. Add-ons like snack sticks, jerky, and sausage are priced separately — see the Processing page.
What cuts of venison can I get? +
Our professional boneless cut is vacuum-sealed and includes ground venison, steaks, roasts, tenderloins, and backstraps (silver skin removed, cut into thirds). All burger is double-ground and packaged in 1.5 lb tubes.
Can I have my deer made into snack sticks, jerky, or sausage? +
Absolutely. We’ll walk you through which products are available, the minimum requirements, and any additional costs — see our Processing page for current pricing.
Can I bring in last year’s venison? +
Yes — bring in last year’s venison and we’ll turn it into snack sticks, sausage, and more.
Do you offer Euro mounts or taxidermy? +
We offer professional European mounting services — cash only, paid in full at the time of meat pickup. We don’t offer taxidermy, but we can cape your trophy and have it frozen and ready for you at pickup.
Do you process elk, bear, or other game? +
Yes. In addition to deer, we process elk, bear, wild boar, and other exotics. We’re a USDA and State inspected facility.
How long does deer processing take? +
Turnaround varies with how many deer we’ve received and the time of season. We’ll give you an estimated completion time at drop-off when possible.
How will I know when my deer is ready? +
We’ll call you when it’s ready, so please make sure we have your correct contact information at drop-off.
Where do I pick up, and can someone else pick up for me? +
Pickups are at the side door — please don’t back up to the roll-up door, which is for drop-offs only. Whoever picks up (you or someone on your behalf) needs to know the claim number from your ticket.
How long can I wait before picking up my finished meat? +
Because of freezer space and seasonal volume, your deer must be picked up within 3 days of being called, or additional fees apply.
Do you have after-hours drop-off? +
No — we haven’t found a mailbox big enough for a deer. Drop-offs are during business hours only.
Do you accept deer from other states? +
Yes, but all out-of-state deer must be deboned or quartered, with no part of the spinal column or head attached.
